Burnin the Midnight Oil

The best ideas have no concept of time, but are often encouraged by lowered inhibitions.

I feel like that’s the best way to describe our mindset here in the Reindeer office, at 2:14AM, as Saturday transitions into Sunday and deadlines loom.  Fan, Yuyu and I have been here for the past couple of hours (with a few beers and ciders), conceptualizing how to completely re-invent the roll over banner.

Rollovers are kind of a puzzle these days.  Do people consider them an annoyance and a disruption?  Can there be an innovative solution that drives users to want to interact with them?  All said and done, are they even an effective means to get a proper return on investment?  I feel like we have the right client with an innovative, holistic campaign to put these questions to the test, but it’s going to take some time to get the exact formula right.  We want to blow people’s minds, and it might take all night.
